Hanami flower watching
As I sat there, the flower radiates
Standing tall, unmoving, and proud,
It stands there with its petals spiking out.
As I looked, the flower smiles at me,
And I smile back, like a greeting.
As I touched, the flower moist from the morning dew,
Washed my fingertips of my sins.
As I smelt, the flower rises up, up, and up,
Its pollen tingled my nostrils.
In the misty morning,
The sun tickles it with warmth, making it laugh.
In the arid afternoon,
The sun blazes with its rays, causing it to cringe.
In the blissful evening,
The moon shines with love, relieving it from the heat.
As the cat walks by, she smells
The sweet nectar, she licks
The bitter petals, she bites
The unpleasant-tasting stem.
The bees buzz, landing on the sweetest one.
Smiling, they drink and they suck,
As they cloy themselves in the clear, luscious nectar.
In a sea of purple, There stands one yellow.
In a sea of yellow, there stands one pink.
In a sea of pink, there stands one white.
In a sea of white there stands one red.
In a sea of red, there stands one pink and red.
Even in a sea of flowers of their kind,
Each individual flower
Has its own beauty,
Blossoms at its own rate,
Looks different,
And waits for someone to accept its pulchritude.
